Hellooo…

Hi there, welcome to my site, and the current home of Batty Hatsters theatre company.

I’ve been working with all things wordy since I learned to read. I abandoned the idea of being a detective (as I could see that my life-long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis would make chasing the baddies a problem) and announced that, “One day I want to be an Arthur!” I’m still a Jane, but I am an author.

A passion for theatre followed shortly after, and my first high school English assignment was on the Psychological Necessity of Directing a Play. Combining words and theatre was the obvious next step, so I wrote some plays

Yes, I was a vomit-inducing precocious child, but I grew out of it and I am now still destined for greatness, but pacing myself.

Decades of reality, living and working in very different parts of the UK and getting to know hundreds of people with hugely diverse life experiences, has honed my in-built outrage at injustice, ignorance and bigotry.

And this is what I now address through my creative practice.
